I will never buy a phone from Verizon again. Recently bought a phone from Best Buy and the staff is so friendly, patient and knowledgeable!! Explained all my options on my plan as well. So pleased!!
I am not swearing off the store or anything overly dramatic like that, but I'd strongly suggest not talking to salespeople for any reason other than locating things that you know you want. Do your homework, buy merchandise, and leave.
The prices aren't always the best, but they are pretty good and they price match if necessary. Their stock availability and shipping were about as good as Amazon around the holidays this year as well. As long as you don't get suckered into buying premium cables or protection plans, it's a good place to get things quickly while supporting some local jobs.
Dropping this down to 2 stars due to a recent experience. I was going to buy an SD card for a Raspberry Pi, and they were having trouble locating the one I knew I wanted after looking at a bunch of reviews/benchmarks.
As a person who swore off Best Buy about 10 years ago, I have been pleasantly surprised with how they've changed.
Nothing but mistakes here. Smashed tv, damage my wall, broke water line to fridge they installed. Spoke with a manager by the name of Tim and he had no peoole skills what so ever. Telling a customer why do you buy stuff here if you dont like our install and delivery. God forbid i didn't like you smashing my product and house up. And then to tell me to take my bussiness else where. Very professional. This manager is a joke and should be fired.
One of the sales people (a lead?) was pushing me towards a similarly priced but significantly worse product citing made up details about how I/O numbers don't really matter. I have heard people who aren't familiar with technology tell stories of being pressured/belittled by salespeople before, but I've never experienced it first hand. The person was dismissive and ignorant of the tech he was selling. It was an infuriating experience.
Ordered a phone that was supposed to be avail for same night pickup. It was not. Next day still not avail. Went in to speak with manager and they immediately got one off of the truck for us. If you want something done just ask they might be able to help. Very happy with the service we received.
The best buy here has a good selection, decent check out times, and a knowledgeable staff. Prices as expected from other best buy stores. My only complaint is that there's a feeling like you are chaperoned. Someone is always asking if you need help, which, is good if you need help, but bad if you're just browsing. Still friendly and helpful though so i can't complain too much
