Here's the thing. If a fast food place is swamped with a line out the door and they have a hard time hearing over all of the customer noise and get flustered, I'm not going to give them a hard time. That's normal. There were 2 people in front of me and 1 behind me. The seating area is really small, but it was only 1/3 full. This experience is caused by two simple things. First they have the music way too loud to be able to function properly. I'm not the only person to have complained about this and I doubt I will be the last. I don't mind the music, but I do mind that you can't function and interact with the customers because of the music. Second, the staff is completely and totally careless. Whoever runs this place needs to train their staff to at least act like they care about the customer's experience. These folks (apart from the cashier) could not possibly care less. Take a page from Chick-fil-A's book and at least act like you care about your customers.
Finally, they wrapped the burrito and it broke. Yea, this happens and I'm not worried. I told the girl that she could just double wrap it. Her response "no it ripped". Again I assume she couldn't hear a thing I was saying over the music since that response makes no sense at all. When she dumped the contents of my burrito into the new tortilla it was a hot mess. Most of the sour cream and about 1/4 of the meat that they had struggled to find for me was still stuck to the old wrapper when they threw it away. The girl at the cash register saw my disgust throughout the whole process and apologized for my experience which is the only reason this isn't a one star review.
Second, the meat that I ordered for the bowl and burrito was almost out. Again, simple solution, turn around and get more. Instead they put an average amount of meat on the bowl and then put less meat on the burrito than Taco Bell puts on a $1 special. I thought they were just finishing up that batch and going to get more, but they just slid it along and ask what other toppings I wanted. I said that I wanted the appropriate amount of meat and they scraped the bottom of that bin for a solid 30 seconds fishing out tiny strand after strand of the beef. Still, nothing fresh even requested.
I like Chipotle in general but I always have problems. First, they rush through the making of the burrito so fast that they just splat the ingredients onto the tortilla with no care as to what they are doing. It makes for a burrito where you only get one ingredient per bite. I eat all the rice, then the beans, and finally the meat with some lettuce and cheese. I appreciate them trying to move the line along quickly, I do, but if the quality is a sacrifice, is it worth it? Today, the person who did the final wrap of my burrito wrote a "g" on mine indicating guacamole in my burrito, problem is, I did not order it nor did they put it in there. So, I had to argue with the register person and they had to open back up the wrapped burrito and check, which held up the line. In the end they corrected it, but how do they just randomly add things like that? Also, the girl who gave me my drink cup put it on the counter upside down with the drinking edge touching the dirty counter. After she slid it down the counter, she then put it on the stainless tray they give you. So the drinking edge where you put your mouth touched and was dragged on two dirty surfaces then given to me. With all the problems they have had with hygiene and health problems, you would think they would know better. Apparently not. I got a new cup. I don't blame the kids working there. They need leadership. This is a management problem.
Okay, wow, what can I say about chipotle. Being that I am a fast food worker myself, and a lover of food, I have to say, the food is phenomenal and the service is fantastic. Everyone is kind or attentive and get the job done, the building is clean and in pristine condition, service and ring ups are fast, and all in all a welcoming and relaxing place to have a decent meal for yourself and friends. The absolute one thing I have to say though, hiring process is HORRENDOUS. Don’t get me wrong, this is about the restaurant and how I feel about Chipotle as a food service and how great their food quality is, rather than an inquiry of my experience in a professional setting, but it has bugged not only me, but a few of my own friends that have tried or have been hired by this franchise and I feel it should be considered upon since it’s my experience entirely with this and other chipotle locations. I will hold my detailed rant for that in another setting, but if someone would like for me to dwell into more on that experience I will. Anywho, I think the place is great to eat there and if you’re looking for quality but as for being a “people-person” kind of restaurant, I think chipotles management needs to work on making customers and potential employees feel welcomed on a personal level.
I’m not sure if it is chipotle itself, this location or the employee but the portions he was putting on my burrito was literately a joke I was laughing.. first the rice then literally 5 beans, I politely asked for the correct potion of beans and I got 5 more beans. By the end 75% of my burrito was sour cream and guac.
First off, I love Chipotle, so keep that in mind when you read this review. This location has consistently been the worst Chipotle I ever visit. Yesterday's was probably the last time I'll go to this location. I just can't deal with their quality of service anymore. I'll drive an extra 15 min to a different location.
I ordered a bowl and a burrito. Nothing super complicated. It took 4 time repeating that I wanted white rice before the girl could hear me. I'm not a quiet person, but the music here is always so loud that the employees can't hear the customers. That's just dumb and such a simple fix. I've complained about it before, but they don't care.
After seeing the last reviews, now I am not surprised my online order is ALWAYS messed up here. And, it is not even something simple as a missed ingredient....the entire burrito bowl is wrong. (Steak instead of chicken, salsa instead of NO SALSA ORDERED, and 3 other ingredients missing). The other two bowls on my order were fine, so I'm really not sure how someone can mess this up so many times. They are consistent in making mistakes, I'll give them that. Between dealing with wasting my money/time and their constant salmonella contamination issues, I am done with Chipotle. This place sucks, deserves negative stars.
